Born and raised in Araruama, a small city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rayssa Ricardo comes from a rich cultural background rooted in Indigenous, Portuguese, and African heritage. She began modeling at 13 while living in South Korea, inspired by her childhood love of dress-up, photography, and creating characters for her YouTube channel. Her career gained momentum with major campaigns for Emporio Armani, Longchamp, Missoni, and HM, shot by renowned photographer Mikael Jansson. Rayssa made her runway debut with Diesel in Milan for the SS24 season, marking a defining moment in her journey. Recent highlights include a beauty campaign with Hung Vanngo, and collaborations with Lacoste, Longchamp, L'Oréal, Calzedonia, and Vogue Mexico x Moschino. Outside of modeling, she enjoys filming and editing videos, often capturing landscapes and exploring her passion for audiovisual storytelling.
