Born in South Sudan and raised in Adelaide, Australia, Akon Changkou launched her modeling career at 22 after being discovered on Instagram. She made her debut with Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week and soon after starred in a global campaign as one of Nicolas Ghesquière’s muses. Akon has since graced the cover of French Vogue and fronted the global Chanel N°1 campaign, solidifying her place in the fashion world. She's worked with countless brands including Marc Jacobs, Rabanne, Blumarine, Isabel Marant, and Calvin Klein as well as multiple editions of Vogue, including Italia, France, American, and British. When she’s not walking for the biggest names in fashion, Akon enjoys traveling, reading, doing Pilates, and walking her dogs.
