Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small suburban town called Andover that is about 30 minutes outside of Boston, MA.
How did you get started in the industry?
At ballet rehearsals, my dance instructor kept insisted that I become a model and after a few more people suggested the idea to me, it really got me thinking of what it would be like to be in the industry. My friend's mom later referred me to a local agency in Boston.
What have been the highlights of your career so far?
The highlight of my career so far was the Gucci S/S 18 show in Milan. It was an exclusive debut and my first time in the beautiful Italian city. It was amazing to have the opportunity of working with such a creative team and to explore the city of Milan. Alessandro Michele's ability to step outside the box with his pieces is truly inspiring.
What is the favorite place you've travelled so far and why?
My favorite place that I've traveled to for work has been Milan. Since I come from a small town, I really enjoy the size of Milan compared to some of the larger fashion capitals. The people in Milan are super friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. You can never go wrong with a cup of coffee in the city!
What are your hobbies and interests?
For most of my life, I've been a soccer player but since my modeling career includes a lot of traveling it's difficult at times to find space to practice so I have become really interested in cross country running. My mom has ran many triatholons and marathons so I'm hoping to follow in her footsteps and run a couple of long distance races myself (fingers crossed for the Boston Marathon some day soon!). Dance and yoga are two other hobbies of mine. The movement of ballet and yoga really help with posing in front of the camera. Lastly, my favorite hobby is cooking. I have always looked up to my dad because he is one of the best chefs I've ever met and amazingly creative in the kitchen. Hopefully one day I'll be as good of a chef as him!
Are you working on any other projects?
Currently, I am taking online classes on Coursera to keep my mind busy while I'm off of school. They have really interesting materials on the site and all for free! I also try to use Duolingo every day to master Spanish, Japanese, and Italian. The app is great for learning new languages! :)
